1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing and using the Beautiful Bookmarks Chrome extension ("the Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please uninstall the Extension.

2. Description of Service

Beautiful Bookmarks is a Chrome browser extension that provides bookmark management, organization, and synchronization features. The Extension allows users to save, organize, and access bookmarks with a visual interface, and optionally sync data across devices using Google Sign-In and cloud storage.

3. Account and Authentication

The Extension offers optional Google Sign-In to enable cloud synchronization of your bookmarks and settings across devices. By signing in, you authorize the Extension to:

- Access your Google profile information (name, email, profile picture) for display purposes

- Store your bookmarks, settings, and preferences in a secure cloud database tied to your Google account

- Sync this data across devices where you are signed in

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account.

4. User Data and Privacy

Your use of the Extension is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at https://www.myntab.com/privacy. Key points:

- Your bookmark data is stored locally on your device and, if you opt in to sync, in a secure cloud database

- We do not sell, share, or distribute your personal data to third parties

- You can delete your synced data at any time by signing out of the Extension

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

- Use the Extension for any unlawful purpose

- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Extension

- Interfere with or disrupt the Extension's services or servers

- Use the Extension to store or transmit malicious content

6. Intellectual Property

The Extension, including its code, design, icons, and branding, is the intellectual property of the developer. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Extension for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. Third-Party Services

The Extension integrates with third-party services including:

- Google Tasks API (for task synchronization)

- Open-Meteo API (for weather data)

- Google Firebase (for cloud data storage and authentication)

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Extension is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Extension will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Extension.

10. Data Loss

While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we are not responsible for any loss of bookmarks, settings, or other data. We recommend periodically exporting your bookmarks using the CSV export feature.

11. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Extension at any time without prior notice. We may also update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict your access to the Extension at any time for violation of these terms.
